| The Mt. View Fire Station is
approximately 36 X 36 (~1,300 square feet). The station has a
12' X 10' garage door and a 10' X 12' garage door both with garage
bays separated by an interior partition wall. The station has
cement floors and is finished inside with chip-board. The
station is fully insulated with a functioning forced air furnace and
was heated up to last year as a Fire Engine was stored at this
station year round. The Mt. View Fire
Station sits on an approximately a half acre lot in the Village of
Mt. View adjacent to the Mt. View Inn. There is no existing
survey or stakes on the lot, but a tax map indicates the dimensions
of the lot are roughly 100' X 100'. There are currently vacant
lots on both sides of the fire station, but beyond these lots there
is a residential neighborhood. The public boat launch for Mt.
View Lake sit just around the corner from the station (about 1500
feet away).
The Mt. View Fire Station is structurally
sound and the building would be well suited as a garage (storage or
maintenance) or could be converted to a residential structure.
The Station also sits in a prime location in the Village of Mt. View
right near the lake and someone might consider building a new
residential structure on this lot.
The Owls Head - Mt. View Fire Department is
eager to sell the Mt. View Station as it is no longer in use.
The department encourages anyone that is interested in viewing /
purchasing the station to contact
